Job Description

  • Structure, develop, and write responses to proposals - building the response around the prospect’s Request for Proposal (RFP).
  • Leverage existing archived proposal information to create draft response to entire proposal.
  • Coordinate resources from multiple departments to review and validate accuracy of responses that pertain to their subject area.
  • Maintain data repository of existing archived proposal information.
  • Seek clarification throughout the RFP/procurement process.
  • Work on multiple proposals, balancing milestones and due dates.
  • Participate in printing, assembling, mailing final proposals.
  • Conduct periodic debriefs of analysis to provide feedback to product management and to improve or enhance future proposals.
  • Track key process metrics such as:
  • Proposal win/loss by sales manager o Draft accuracy rate o Question volume by resource/by department o On-time completion percentage o Overall proposal win/loss rate
  • Structure, develop and write responses to technical questionnaires, compliance forms and other such requests from existing customers in order to assure consistency and accuracy of responses as well as to include those questions and responses within the data repository for future use
  • Communicate with technical writing team as necessary to enhance standard system documentation to address frequently asked questions
  • Assist the sales team members in identifying appropriate supporting documentation for their prospects.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Communication or related field
  • 2-4 years directly related work experience in Life Science or supporting Life Science Customers
  • 1-3 years directly related work experience in RFP production Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to take disparate data sources to create a value driven proposal
  • Marketing experience preferred
  • Resourceful in gathering key information and working with extended teams
  • Ability to work well in a team environment, as well as to handle multiple concurrent assignments, work independently, and assume personal responsibility for deliverables
  • Ability to effectively manage new projects, existing maintenance, shifting priorities, and multiple tasks
  • Self-directed and well organized and detail oriented
  • Proven analytical skills with the ability to handle statistical information
