Main Activities:

• Provide professional consulting and hands-on contractor work for material quality document management, authoring, consolidation, and cleansing.
• Author SOPs to drive global specifications and processes (item spec updates, approvals, testing requirements, material onboarding and qualification)
• Document differences and align sites where possible to above global documentation and processes for all direct materials.
• Analyze item specifications to determine what and how to combine like materials into a single document
• Author, revise, and obsolete item specifications
• Review vendor information to ensure manufacturing part and specifications/CoA aligns with our documents.
• Determine highest compendia for each vendor material.
• Determine strategy for linking legacy materials to new global specifications in manufacturing documentation and BOMs without having to immediately revise every batch record.
• Assess quality impacts and risks to above revisions and alignments (traceability, pass through costs, etc.), potentially help communicate changes to clients.
• Work closely with all relevant KBI departments: MS&T, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, IT
• Provide regular updates on the status of item spec cleansing; communicate effectively with the different KBI sites to ensure material needs are met.
• Help lay groundwork for global item specification and advise on best practices to ensure future success.
