The School of Traditional Skills is an online education-based company that focuses on teaching and equipping people with the skills needed to live a healthy sustainable life. We do this by creating valuable and engaging content that helps individuals develop the necessary skills to achieve this goal. JOB BRIEF:

The Marketing Associate will play a critical role in supporting the marketing efforts of the School of Traditional Skills. This individual will work closely with the Director of Marketing and other team members to execute marketing campaigns, manage social media presence, and support the launch of events and promotions. The ideal candidate will have experience in email marketing, social media management, and data mining. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and strong communication skills are a must for this role.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Management and execution of email marketing campaigns, with precision!
  • Responding to social media responses and requests with support from Customer Service
  • Data mining projects as requested by team members
  • Working in close coordination with Project Manager to ensure timely launch of marketing for events and promotions
  • Updates to website including blog, glossary, and promotion launches
  • Supporting content team in the creation and execution of regularly posted content on the website or other online assets
  • Conduct market research to understand target audiences and inform campaign strategies
  • Collaborate with internal teams to create and publish engaging and effective digital content
  • Use data analytics to measure the success of digital campaigns and make data-driven decisions
  • Optimize website and landing pages for search engine optimization (SEO) and lead generation
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest digital marketing trends and best practices
  • Collaborate with other departments and external partners to ensure cohesive and effective marketing efforts
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Marketing
  • DOWN THE ROAD:
    • Managing of social media posts and content distribution across multiple platforms
    • Monitor and analyze social media metrics and adjust strategies accordingly
    • Manage online advertising campaigns, including Google AdWords

Requirements

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of hands-on experience in executing comprehensive marketing campaigns across various channels.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Ability to work remotely independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to deliver high-quality work within tight deadlines.
  • Experience with Google Drive and related products
  • Experience with platforms such as WordPress, ConvertKit, and other standard marketing platforms.
  • Experience in collaborating with graphic designers, content creators, and other stakeholders to ensure cohesive brand messaging.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to overcoming marketing challenges.
