Job description

The Manager, Reputation Management supports functional team members in flooding the marketplace with narrative building content, identifying what drives key stakeholder connection with our family of products and services. This position requires a roll-up your sleeves, action-oriented individual with a solid understanding of strategic reputation management, balancing the needs of diverse stakeholders, proactive public relations, and an integrated view of corporate communications. The incumbent must be a mission-driven self-starter, who can connect the dots, and balance multiple priorities, in a fast-paced environment.

THIS IS A 100% REMOTE POSITION. 15% travel required.

Essential Duties:

Reputation management: - Monitor public perception, identifying opportunities and potential risks to elevate awareness of Aventiv’s value, and develop correlating messages and collateral to ensure diverse channel communication that broadens our presence with stakeholders; experience developing infographics - Support crisis response efforts, including drafting responses to key stakeholders to help elevate issues before they are externally visible - Manage and engage with support functions, from Sales, to Product, to Customer Service, and HR to deliver communication strategies that delight our stakeholders and mitigate risk

Media relations: - Lead Aventiv’s press strategy by drafting, reviewing, and gaining alignment on news, announcements, and thought leadership materials, highlighting Aventiv’s innovation and industry leadership positioning; create competitive differentiation to help Sales sell - Develop key messages and supporting collateral to elevate our brand and advance go-to-market strategies; establish Aventiv as the innovator in corrections’ communications - Amplify impact by partnering with agency and internal peers to successfully distribute press releases and post content to Aventiv.com and other social channels; report results - Research key reporters to prepare briefings if interviews are recommended; lead reporter relationship building and deskside outreach - Lead real time media responses to avert negative impact to brand reputation and drive positive positioning; ability to navigate internal organization to understand context around issues and drive alignment around response - Support monthly and quarterly reporting of critical KPIs

External communications: - Proactive development and creation of foundational messaging, collateral, and brand positioning materials to ensure consistency in Aventiv’s external positioning, including differentiation of our core brands, products, and services. Process and prioritize feedback from different stakeholders, helping create aligned positions - Develop and execute integrated communication strategies, which include press releases, op-eds, social campaigns, events, employer brand campaigns, while supporting development of written and spoken materials, from speeches to talking points. Skilled at proof reading and editing - Develop audience appropriate video and social creative that conveys our brand value proposition - Ensure that all external communications align with the company's core positioning and brand standards, while effectively reporting critical KPIs to gauge impact. - Stakeholder engagement: - Support community relations and government affairs by developing messages and collateral to effectively reach their key stakeholders - Support internal and employer brand communications with the development and delivery of presentations, key messages, and collateral that engage current and future employees as brand ambassadors. Lead creation of senior leadership content development where needed - Create brand collateral to support external events – including thought leader forums and sales conferences.

Team engagement: - Ability to work in a matrixed environment and integrate across the Public Affairs team, Sales, Marketing, HR, and Customer Service teams, so all brand collateral and developed responses reflect key business priorities - Share learning and best practices, building effective process and delivery - Partner with external agencies to anticipate needs and deliver quality on time deliverables that support plans - Perform other related duties as assigned.

  • Demonstrated success prioritizing and working in deadline driven environments
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including condensing complex messages into simple communications and distilling executive level summaries. Able to adapt tone and voice to leader and channel
  • Amazing power point and presentation creation skills
  • Creative thinker; experience developing video and social content
  • Extremely organized and balances multiple priorities with ease
  • Builds collaborative relationships and trust
  • Thrives under pressure and tackles whatever task needs to get done
  • Willingness to take feedback and desire to grow
  • Experienced hosting and executing events, including simple coordination management of in person and remote forums, including conferences, townhalls, fireside chats, etc.
  • Spanish language competency is valued

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 6 + years of experience in corporate communications, reputation management, journalism, public affairs, or a related field with a proven track record of success

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Public Affairs, or a related field.
  • Agency experience is valued
  • Fair chance hiring valued

Physical Requirements:
