As a Principal Solutions Architect, Mobile , you will bring your technical skills to a hospitality company with an award-winning culture. On the Software Engineering - Architecture team reporting to the Director Software Engineering, you will support projects including digital key, digital check-in and check-out, digital payments, marketing technology, inventory, and Connected Room, which allows for in-room integrated entertainment, temperature, and lighting controls.

How You Will Make An Impact

Your role is important and below are some of the fundamental job duties that make your work unique. **

What Your Day-to-day Will Be Like**

  • Contribute to and define architectural guardrails and non-functional requirements.
  • Conduct research to deliver reference architectures and develop proof-of-concepts.
  • Deliver documentation, including class diagrams, data models, business domain models, sequence diagrams, use case models, and collaboration diagrams.
  • Manage the technical delivery, removing roadblocks within Agile delivery methodology while following our established architectural principles for mobile, web, and APIs.
  • Facilitate architecture decisions and enforce Enterprise Architecture standards and principles for web, mobile, and APIs.
  • Lead and help shape the future of Hilton's digital architecture, becoming a subject matter expert in all things digital, across channels and platforms.

How You Will Collaborate With Others

  • Work with product and creative to define and document the solution architecture and approach for new products and features.
  • Establish visibility and form relationships within technology and business to ensure multi-functional understanding providing clear direction to the product teams.
  • Lead, mentor, and interview engineers and architects to increase the productivity of the teams, and to evolve and grow the engineering teams.

  • A portfolio of exciting projects potentially including Digital key, digital check-in and check-out, digital payments, marketing technology, inventory, and Connected Room, which allows for in-room integrated entertainment, temperature, and lighting controls.

WHY YOU'LL BE A GREAT FIT

You Have These Minimum Qualifications

  • Ten (10) years of professional work experience in Technology or related field
  • Seven (7) years of hands-on experience in mobile application development or architecture in iOS/Swift and/or Android/Java/Kotlin
  • Large e-commerce product team and digital delivery experience in customer-facing technologies
  • Experience with high-volume transaction systems at an enterprise level
  • Direct experience with the full Agile software development lifecycle
  • Travel up to 15%

It Would Be Useful If You Have

  • Bachelor’s Degree, or Associate’s Degree plus 6+ years of Technology related experience, or High School Degree/GED plus 12+ years of Technology related experience
  • Twelve (12) + years of professional work experience in Technology or related field
  • Three (3) years of hands-on experience in web application development or architecture, specifically with customer-facing web or API technologies such as TypeScript, GraphQL, Express, or Node
  • Leadership, people management, or mentorship experience
  • Technical proficiency with the following or similar technologies: Atlassian Stack, GitLab, Tomcat/Apache, Edge (Akamai), and Cloud (AWS) technologies
  • Experience working across web and mobile technologies and projects
