Senior Training and Development Manager – Change Management Specialist Department of Veterans Affairs (Corporate Position)

Position Description:

Sprezzatura is seeking an experienced Senior Training and Development Manager with a strong background in change management and instructional design to lead training and development activities within the organization. The ideal candidate will be adept at creating curriculums, implementing change management strategies, and developing training materials to support the Board's programs effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

Training and Curriculum Development:

• Create internal and external curriculums and training materials to support Board programs using human-centered design principles
• Develop various training materials (train-the-trainer support, job aids, presentations, etc.) for existing and new processes for employees, Veterans, and VSOs
• Provide assessment, instruction, and delivery of leadership programs virtually and on-site
• Use storyboards and innovative methods to create and deliver training across different communication platforms.

Change Management and Process Support:

• Utilize change management principles to develop change management plans and support process changes effectively.
• Provide training, monitoring, and coaching on Board processes and procedures Document comments, decisions, and outcomes related to program standardization modules and training effectiveness.

Will be required to develop and deliver the following:

• Training Plan
• Change Management Plan
• Training Materials (Job Aids, Presentations, Storyboards, etc.
• SOPs related to the Program

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in instructional design, education, or an equivalent field is required

• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in organizational change with four (4) years in large organizations
• Active Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or Program Management Professional (PgMP) certification is mandatory.
• Preferred: Master’s degree in instructional design, education, or an equivalent field. Eight (8) years of experience driving change in large organizations through effective training and development.
• Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification is a plus
