Are you passionate about ensuring individuals receive exceptional care while navigating through their healthcare journey? We're seeking a dedicated and empathetic part-time Customer Care, Prior Authorization Specialist to join our team. As the initial point of contact for patient prior authorization requests, you'll play a pivotal role in facilitating seamless communication between patients, pharmacies, insurance companies, and healthcare providers. Your primary focus will be on ensuring prior authorizations are processed efficiently while keeping patients informed about their care. **

Key Responsibilities**

Act as a supportive liaison for patients, addressing inquiries related to prior authorizations and insurance usage while providing clear resolutions to their concerns.

Skillfully obtain prior authorization approvals from insurance companies and initiate appeals in cases of refusal.

Collaborate with pharmacies to manage outstanding patient fills and resolve insurance-related queries as needed.

Maintain meticulous attention to detail, overseeing the status of all prior authorizations to ensure timely approvals. Implement and manage systems for continuous tracking.

Support the Customer Care team by responding to general patient inquiries using Zendesk.

Embrace remote work, dedicating 20 - 30 hours a week during regular business hours (CST or MTN preferred time zones). **

Preferred Qualifications**

Possess at least 1+ year of customer service experience.

Demonstrate 1+ years of experience in medical billing or insurance authorization.

Show proficiency in content management systems like Zendesk or similar customer support platforms.

Flourish in an entrepreneurial setting, comfortable with ambiguity, and committed to challenging the healthcare status quo.
