As a Manager, Business Development, you will support the team responsible for providing a differentiated selling platform for Hilton's diverse portfolio of brands by being relentlessly motivated to grow market share. On the Business Development team reporting to the Assistant Managing Director, you will identify and qualify organizations to partner with Hilton Worldwide Sales and serve enterprise and brand needs. **

How You Will Make An Impact

Your role is important and below are some of the fundamental job duties that make your work unique. **

What Your Day-to-day Will Be Like**

  • Directly responsible for soliciting, qualifying, and generating new business. Identify, research, and analyze unmanaged and prospect accounts to spot the potential for growth, estimate the size of the opportunity and growth potential, and help guide personalized conversations with prospective clients – for both group and transient business.
  • Demonstrate a solid knowledge of group business, sourcing tools, and group business terminology
  • Demonstrate a general understanding of negotiating business travel sales contracts with corporate accounts, a general understanding of the RFP Process, with business travel sales terminology, and business travel sales reporting
  • Utilize Salesforce to manage customer connections and results. Document sales activity through sales-opportunity reports and call reports.
  • Represent Hilton at tradeshows and industry events to meet with unmanaged accounts and generate new business opportunities.

How You Will Collaborate With Others

  • Clients – you will actively engage to connect with decision makers and qualify potential Hilton Worldwide Sales (HWS) coverage for Group and/or Transient.
  • Colleagues - you will be dedicated to a "One-Team" commercial culture while living the Heart of Hilton.
  • Establish relationships with your Hilton Worldwide Sales peers, your customers, and your hotel partners to qualify opportunities, host discovery calls to qualify unmanaged accounts, and implement solutions.

What Deliverables You Will Take Ownership Of

  • Build and maintain an active pipeline and qualifying accounts that deliver contracted Group revenue and Transient committed revenue from accounts that meet HWS established revenue thresholds.
  • Support our sales customers & hotels in the sales process, industry visibility and education, and participation in Hilton meetings & conferences.
  • Be resilient and comfortable cold calling, follow-up on leads promptly, be persistent in following-up with unresponsive customers, deal with rejection and turndown customers with grace.

WHY YOU'LL BE A GREAT FIT

You Have These Minimum Qualifications

  • Three (3) years of professional experience
  • Two (2) years of hotel group sales/operations experience in a full service hotel of 500+ rooms OR three years (3) years of sourcing/operating for customer events of 500+ people
  • In-depth knowledge of the hospitality industry preferably property level or above property level experience
  • Travel - 10% of the time

It Would Be Useful If You Have

  • BA/BS Bachelor's Degree
  • Experience using Salesforce and Delphi
  • Business Travel Sales experience
