The Home & Garden business unit of Spectrum Brands is based in St. Louis, Missouri with distribution, manufacturing and sales offices throughout the US and globe. We are a leading supplier of consumer products nationally for the home, lawn and garden, insect and weed control markets. Job Summary**

As an Assistant Manager, Paid Social Media Buyer, you will play a pivotal role in strategizing, executing, and optimizing paid social media campaigns to drive success for B2C/CPG brands and in shaping our brand’s online presence. You will work closely with cross-functional teams and internal clients to ensure the effective delivery of campaigns across various social media platforms. Your expertise in paid social media and analytics will be instrumental in achieving client KPIs and success metrics. This is an in-house media position. **

Primary Duties & Responsibilities**

80% Social Media Campaign Management & Strategy

  • Paid Advertising: Plan, execute, and optimize paid social media advertising campaigns, including ad creation, targeting, tagging, and budget management.
  • Strategy Development: Create and implement comprehensive full-funnel strategies aligned with business goals, ensuring consistency with the brand's voice and identity.
  • Content Planning: Develop content calendars and schedules for various social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and emerging social platforms.
  • Performance Analysis: Regularly analyze and report on social media KPIs, such as reach, engagement, and ROI, using analytics tools, as well as work closely with the Analytics team on broader ROI framework. Having full awareness of your ad accounts’ performance and spend pacing.
  • Audience Planning: Strategically seek and/or scale new audiences to hone on paid social strategies and drive growth.
  • Creative Testing: Develop detailed creative testing plans (ad copy, image, CTA, etc.), analyze and report to stakeholders.
  • Media Testing: Desing and implement testing for targeting and bidding strategies to continually optimize campaign performance and identify growth opportunities.
  • Influencer Partnerships: Collaborate with Influencer team on best approach to enhance organic posts with paid boost to scale appropriately.

20% Other

  • Financial Management: Track & manage campaign budgets and manage pacing to ensure financial transparency and accuracy.
  • Documentation: Maintain consistent documentation of changes to plans, budgets, and timelines across media plans.
  • Relationship Building: Cultivate strong relationships with internal teams, agency partners, and platform/publisher contacts In order to align social media advertising efforts with broader business goals and objectives.
  • Industry Expertise: Stay updated on the latest industry news, media strategies, platforms, and tactics, and apply this knowledge to enhance projects.
  • Process Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities to streamline workflows and introduce automation within the team, collaborating with the manager to implement recommendations.
  • Market Research: Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging social media platforms and technologies.
  • Innovation: Identify and propose innovative social media initiatives, campaigns, and features to keep the brand at the forefront of social media trends.

Education and Experience Profile **

Technical Skills & Experience**

  • 2-4 years of experience in paid social media management or a related field at an agency or brand
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven track record of managing paid social media campaigns for portfolio of brands, preference to CPG.
  • Strong proficiency in social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and emerging platforms.
  • Strong understanding of advertising and marketing principles, particular for online audiences.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with social media analytics tools and the ability to interpret data to make informed decisions.
  • Experience with paid social media advertising and influencer marketing.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Facebook Blueprint Certification is a major plus.
