Job Description

This role supports the day to day strategic development and execution of media plans that address client objectives on multiple account assignments. This is a client facing role that is instrumental in developing media plans with a focus on KPI delivery and is responsible for managing the day-to-day tasks of plan implementation and results analysis, including maintaining media budgets, flowcharts and performance reports, insights and investment optimization recommendations, fielding and responding to client and agency partner requests, and client presentations.

Responsibilities:

  • Create and update national and/or local targeted media plans under guidance of VP
  • Take a leadership role in results reporting; clean and confirm accuracy of reporting data feeds, compile charts for reporting
  • Analyze data and work with VP to develop insights and optimization recommendations that increase campaign ROI; work with buyers to implement investment optimizations
  • Maintain stewardship of performance and media buy reports (ex. dashboards, flowcharts, budget charts)
  • Build relationships with clients and media partners; be conversant on performance trending and status of media plan
  • Respond to client media requests
  • Coordinate with the buying and billing teams for execution and billing of media buys
  • Keep abreast of industry trends, especially related to client category and consumer media consumption
  • Meet with vendors and provide POV recommendations on media opportunities
  • Process and analyze competitive media activity in the marketplace and consumer trends

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years media planning experience (agency environment), with at least 1+ year of traditional and digital video experience (TV/CTV/OTT)
  • Knowledge of the principles of advertising, marketing and media
  • Knowledge of media planning and research tools (Kantar, MRI, DCM, MMM, etc.)
  • Experience in national and local direct response media planning
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, organizational, interpersonal, and analytical skills
  • Detail-oriented, good follow through, able to multi-task, and work well under tight deadlines in a fast paced environment
  • Expertise in PowerPoint and Excel; experience with pivot tables a plus
