What You’ll Do

You’ll provide consultative services to our broker partners – focused on designing the right employee benefits packages for organizations of all sizes. You’ll work collaboratively with the account management team to ensure customer retention and satisfaction.

This is your opportunity to accelerate your success as our next Group Benefits Sales Professional based out of our Philadelphia, PA office. The territory offers the ideal mix of opportunities, from well-established mature business relationships with area producers to robust market development opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage a large territory, serving as the key liaison between brokers, customers and The Standard to drive sales goals and achieve personal success

  • Ensure quota attainment to attain sales targets and drive customer satisfaction, utilizing the full range of resources The Standard provides

  • Continually improve product knowledge, sales skills and competitive intelligence knowledge to effectively compete in your assigned market

  • Proactively seek out opportunities to mentor others and improve practices to enhance the success of the local, regional and national sales team(s)

  • Effectively partner with internal teams such as Underwriting to negotiate rates and focus sales efforts on winning the right business.

The Skills and Background You’ll Need

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferred, but not required.

  • Excellent driving record required. Must be insurable under corporate insurance carrier

  • Preferred experience within the group benefits industry with LTD/STD, Dental and Life produce sales experience

  • Life and Disability License (or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire)

  • Proven results attainment in sales: Demonstrable quota attainment, solid and aggressive prospecting skills, territory management methodology and finalist presentation experience
