Supply Supervisor

Overview

• This position will support APS5 and it is contingent upon award***

Reports to the Warehouse Manager. Responsible for assisting daily operations of the Retrograde Operations to include performing technical supply management work (e.g., inventory management, storage management, cataloging, classification, researching) related to depot, local, or other supply activities.

• Using a good working knowledge of the governing supply systems (GCSS-Army), programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals, or other established guidelines, and an understanding of the needs of the organization serviced, applies analytical ability to define and take appropriate supply action based upon application or interpretation of established guidelines.
• Assists the Theater Distribution and Warehouse Manager in planning and coordinating workloads to optimize use of resources to include personnel, equipment, tools and facilities.
• Establishes programs and proceedures to meet normal and contingency mission requirements.
• Prepares, analyzes and briefs reports as required. Recommends solutions to problems indicated by analysis of trends, indicators, potental problems or those identified by management and/or the government.
• Ensures all required reports are submitted accurately and on time.
• Monitors the Shelf Life and COSIS program.
• Provides management direction and oversight to include overseeing day to day retrograde operations. This may include but not limited to storage, inventories, receiving, shipping and preparation of all supporting documentation.
• Works with and in conjunction with other departments to accomplish all required tasks.
• Monitors and evaluates work performance of the employees to ensure they are in compliance with the Performance Work Statement (PWS) and all regulations pertaining to their assigned duties.
• Ensures that employees are always in compliance with established Safety Policies and Regulations.
• Ensures safeguarding of all Army property and equipment.
• Implements Work Performance Training when required.
• Performs other duties and assignments as required.

Qualifications - MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education/Certifications: One year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required. - High school diploma or equivalent. - Experience: - Minimum of 5 years specialized experience in supply operations. Must have served in position of increased responsibility encompassing program planning and supervisory experience. (Supply management experience is mandatory) - Minimum of 3 Years’ experience with Retrograde Procedures or equivalent civilian program is required. - At least 3 Years working experience in GCSS Army is plus - Skills: - Must have working knowledge of Retrograde / Warehouse Operations - Knowledge of Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and storage requirements to meet compatibility of products based on hazard class is required. - Leadership and management skills, including a professional demeanor, are required. - Strong interpersonal skills are required. - Ability to exercise discretion and good judgement is required. - Ability to prioritized responsibilities to handle a demanding workload is required. - Attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy is required. - Advance ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in written form is required. - High-level organizational and planning skills, so that workflow is managed and accurate is required. - Basic proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook and ALL Microsoft applications is required. - Must be able to learn and operate ARMY AIS systems - Clearance/License: - A valid driver’s license and the ability to obtain a U.S. Government Motor Vehicle Operator’s License and Kuwait Driver’s License are required. - Must be able to maintain USG Network access & CAC card privilege(s). - Must be able to obtain and maintain a secrete level clearance - Supervisory Responsibilities: - Responsible to manage hours of personnel including use of overtime for mission requirements and to the best interest of Vectrus. - Working Conditions: - Indoor and/or outdoor environment with very adverse and harsh conditions (i.e., hot, dry, dusty, desert environment with average temperatures of 30 degrees in the winter and 130 degrees in the summer months). Includes some industrial production environment conditions as well. - Physical Requirements: - Must be physically capable of lifting 40 pounds a vertical distance of four feet and carrying this weight a horizontal distance of 25 feet. - May be required to work an uncommon schedule including nights, weekends and holidays. - Must be able to work extended hours and evenings, as mission requires. - Must have professional appearance - Required to observe all safety, security, fire, environmental, and health requirements for Retrograde/ Warehouse Operations and outside environment. - Working with or in areas where a potential could exist for exposure to physical, chemical or biological agents. - Employee use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required for some situations. PPE includes but is not limited to. head, foot, torso, respiratory, vision, and hearing protective devices.
