Your missions
Your Impact:
We have an exciting strategic digital transformation solutions leader role for our Midwest geography to support our growth in the new “Operational Optimization” space of the “Digital Transformation of Utilities” with our municipal water and wastewater clients. This role would assist with existing long-term projects for Wet Weather Optimization of Sewer Collection Systems (SCS) in St. Louis and Kansas City, MO to start. This being just one aspect of the Jacobs overall “Digital OneWater” approach that you would be involved with. You would be working with our established team of the most esteemed digital water Technologists in the industry. We also custom build and tailor digital dashboards to precise specifications rather than just use the standard Off-The-Shelf (OTS Software) software products.
You’ll also get to leverage the industry’s deepest technical resources in water treatment, and who has been ENR ranked #1 in the world for water treatment for decades. In 2022, Engineering News-Record ranked Jacobs #1 in its list of Top 500 Engineering Design Firms in the world for a fifth consecutive year.
This is a client-facing functional role focused on both wastewater collection and water distribution optimization, hydraulic modeling, planning, and change-management during the long-term, multi-phased operational optimization / digital twin process. You would also be the liaison between our clients and our expert technology development team during the customized digital twin/dashboard development process.
Here's What You'll Need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, or related engineering degree
- Experience using Optimization Hydraulic Modeling for utility sewer collection systems to minimize combined sewer overflow
- Experience delivering related digital design projects
- Senior level experience working with municipal wastewater treatment facilities
- Ability to travel to Kansas City, MO one week a month if working remotely. Relocation Assistance provided for those willing to move to Kansas City, MO area.
Ideally, You’ll Also Have:
- P.E. (Professional Engineer Registration)
- Master’s degree in related field
