Your missions

We’re recruiting for an Information Security Manager to manage the Governance, Risk and Compliance aligned with our Kier Highways covering contracts held with National Highways. Kier Highways are employed on a number of National Highways contracts, and which cover wide geographical parts of the UK.

Location: Rushden, Northamptonshire - remote working available, with occasional travel to the office required.
Contract: Permanent, full-time – flexible and part-time hours available if desired, just let us know.

In this exciting role, you will own the Kier Highways Information Security practises and processes to meet UK Government, National Highways and Kiers stringent policies and controls.

You will assess, analyse, and report on the security needs and drive the development and implementation of Kier Group Information Security strategy into Kier Highways.

You’ll provide leadership in assessing the security governance, risk and compliance requirements across Kier Highways and provide leadership between technology groups and other Kier Business Units.

You’ll also provide security expertise across security standards and accreditations, measure and control the effectiveness of the security controls framework and maintain the Information Security Management System.

You will also be required to derive and deliver documented Information Security Management Plans which incorporate Regulatory, Legal and Compliance in relation to UK Government, Client and Kier Information Security policies.
In addition, you will devise and deliver Kier Group security education awareness training to Kier Highways employees and third-party employees.

You will also work with Kier’s strategic partners to ensure overall security governance is understood and being adhered to by the Business Unit. You’ll stand as Kier Highways focal point on the Cabinet Office Resilience Direct forum.

Who are we looking for?

You’ll have a proven background in Information Security and Risk Management together with a solid understanding of UK Government policies, working with UK Government data at all levels as well as Personal Identifiable Information.

You’ll understand the impact of non-adherence to such doctrine, and that of emerging threats which may impact on Kier Highways end user technologies and infrastructure.

You’ll also have technical understanding and experience of working within a business environment that includes managing IT security governance, for government contracts and client facing organisations and exposure to working within a hybrid infrastructure environment.

We’re all about finding potential here at Kier, and transferable skills are always welcome! So even if you don’t tick every box, please apply and we can have a chat. We want to hear from candidates from all backgrounds and experiences, and we especially encourage those from underrepresented communities to get in touch with us.
