Business area: Kier Construction - Build North & Scotland

Contract: Full time, permanent, Monday to Friday

Responsibilities


As Foreperson, you’ll be working within the Construction team, supporting them in you could be involved in building anything from a strategic asset costing hundreds of millions of pounds, to a small-budget school extension that creates priceless classroom space. Whatever you do, you’ll be making a difference on projects that matter, every day of your working life.


Your day to day will include:

  • Supervising on site activities
  • Providing task briefings for site operatives, checking progress
  • Ensuring safety compliance and keeping the site management team up to date on any on site issues.
  • Coordinating the movement of plant, labour and materials around site.
  • Maintaining daily site records.

What are we looking for?

This role of Foreperson is great for you if:

  • To be successful in this role you will have proven experience of supervising previous site activities to a high standard across similar construction projects, as well as being able to evidence previous experience of the set up and day to day running of the construction sites.
  • We will need you to hold a valid CSCS ideally to Supervisor standards, along with a SSSTS or equivalent.
