Remote Sr Infrastructure Project Manager

JOB DESCRIPTION

Our client is an undisputed leader in sugar confections with ambitions of being the global leader by leveraging their focus, capabilities, and brand portfolio to drive category development for their community, customer, and consumers. They have over 4,000 dedicated employees and an operational network of over a dozen locations inNorth Americathat includes manufacturing, distribution, and R&D facilities. Their environment is a Microsoft shop with Palo Alto, Cisco Networking, Microsoft Suite, SAP, and they are hybrid on-prem/cloud (AWS/Azure) with an emphasis on Azure cloud. Many, if not all, of their IT/Infrastructure projects are tied to business-driven initiatives within the organization.

Our client is seeking a Senior IT Infrastructure Project Manager who will lead and manage a portfolio of roughly six projects that are 4-12 weeks in duration. These projects include a Windows 10 upgrade, lifecycle updates in their core data center (both hardware and software), Microsoft Teams implementation, cleaning up their systems, and more. There is currently a gap in tracking and managing these projects so this Senior Project Manager will come in and own projects day-to-day, keep the workflow moving from inception through proof of concept, and then turn it over to a managed service team. This role will require strong knowledge and experience in project coordination, project management, and project leadership. The specific responsibilities include building out project plans, providing detailed status updates pertaining to each project, tracking expenses (keeping up with green, yellow, and red budgeting indirectly), and work with cross functional teams (IT PMs, Managed Service Groups, Technical teams, Business users, etc.). This individual will eventually report into the Lead PMO and assist the Lead PMO in building out a 5-year roadmap for their internal projects as well.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• 5-7+ years of Project Management experience
• Experience supporting multiple Infrastructure and App/Dev related projects at one time.
• Experience supporting 1 (or more) of the following: Windows 10 upgrade, Lifecycle updates in Data Center, MS Teams implementation, cleaning up hardware systems.
• Experience building out project road maps
• Experience creating detailed status updates and building out project plans
• Experience tracking project budgets (RAG updates)
• Experience in an Azure cloud environment

DESIRED SKILLS

• PMP Certification
• Manufacturing or Food Services Industry background (ex: CPG)
