Your missionsJOB DESCRIPTION
A client of Insight Global is looking for an AWS Infrastructure Engineer to join their growing Cloud Operations team. The candidate will be collaborating frequently with other engineers, Architects, and members of the Cloud Operations team to work on the Cloud Journey Project. The team is currently undergoing a migration from on prem to the cloud. This candidate will be responsible for building out the AWS infrastructure and the DBA activities within the cloud. They will need to be a jack of all trades when it comes to infrastructure.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- 5+ years of experience as an AWS Engineer
- In-depth work experience with AWS Cloud Services (EC2, EBS, S3, Lambda, AWS CLI, CloudTrail etc)
- Solid understanding of AWS Identity and Access Management
- Proficient in database administration with AWS RDS databases: Amazon RDS/RDS Custom/MS SQL/PostgreSQL
- Experience with configuring AWS Network infrastructure (Firewalls, WAFs, VPNs, AWS Shield, AWS Firewall Mgr & Network ACLs)
- Experience with Application and Infrastructure Monitoring using AWS CloudWatch, Datadog, New Relic
- Experience working in a fast-paced 24/7 support environment using ITSM Incident/Change management best practices
- Can work independently, deliver with minimal supervision from a set of requirements
DESIRED SKILLS
- Database administration skills in On-Prem
- DevSecOps and Automation experience in an AWS infrastructure environment
Required profile
- Ability to handle multiple infrastructure tasks and work independently
- Experience with monitoring tools like CloudWatch and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced 24/7 support environment
