REMOTE Data Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION

Insight Global is looking to bring on a contract Data Engineer at one of our large financial clients. This large Financial and Insurance company is growing quickly and has several large initiatives going into 2023. This candidate will develop new data streaming patterns leveraging an enterprise platform to support system to system data exchange. You will formulate and defines system scope and objectives for assigned projects. Prepare detailed specifications to write programs. Designs, codes, tests, debugs, documents, and maintains those programs. Has strong technical knowledge of all phases of applications systems analysis and programming. Has good understanding of business or functional units for which application is designed and will be responsible for project completion and end-user satisfaction.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• 7 years IT development experience
• 5 years designing and implementing enterprise data solutions into Kafka
• Implementation of data streaming/events/message model for data acquisition
• Experience with Kafka, publishing/consuming events
• Implementation of enterprise level data integration patterns
• Experience with SalesForce data/integration or other CRM
• Maintaining a schema registry which automates notification of schema changes to target systems, allowing them to stay up to date
