We’re looking for a Senior Ecologist to join our Highways team based in Penrith or Salford. Location: Penrith or Salford, remote/hybrid working available
Contract: Permanent, Fulltime (part-time working available, just let us know)
Salary: Up to £45k + 26 days of annual leave + Benefits


Responsibilities

As a Senior Ecologist, you’ll support the Senior Environmental Manager on ecological issues relating to Kier Highways schemes.

Your day to day will include:

  • Advising clients including National Highways and Kier Highways colleagues on ecological matters
  • Liaising with designers and contractors regarding ecological elements of schemes.
  • Project management of ecological schemes and production of reports where appropriate

Who are we looking for?

This role of Senior Ecologist is great for you if you have:

  • Relevant degree and experience of ecology in the highways/construction industry and experience of working with protected species
  • Holding protected species licenses such as GCN, bat, dormouse, white clawed crayfish license
  • Membership or working towards membership of a professional body i.e. CIEEM
