Business Process Lead

Location: Remote - Anywhere in Canada

What you’ll be working on

  • Provide business and system expertise along with research/analysis services that support the design, delivery and maintenance of quality applications and enhancements

  • Demonstrates strong subject matter expertise on projects and business unit initiatives, to ensure full end-to-end deployment of system updates  

  • Support the implementation, documentation and communication of system/process changes to management, end-users, third party service providers, etc.Gather requirements and apply an appropriate mix of approaches: interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, task and workflow analysis 

  • Assess current state of processes by shadowing in the business unit, reviewing procedures, interviewing subject matter experts and mapping current state processes

  • Collect and analyze data (KPIs/SLAs) from multiple sources to support analysis of current state processes and potential impact of proposed process improvements

What we’re looking for you to have
  • 3+ years relevant work experience 

  • Advanced Knowledge of MSOffice Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access; knowledge of SQL

  • Knowledge of the Insurance business: processes, systems, data sources, customers, products, channels, regulations, competition, industry trends is an asset

  • Completion of a university degree, in business or engineering or a related discipline 

  • Well-developed analytical, evaluation, decision making and problem resolution skills

  • Ability to work independently and/or as a team member

  • Well-developed communication, negotiation, persuasion and facilitation skills 

  • Ability to prioritize and balance multiple tasks or projects

  • Statistical analysis skills

  • Attention to detail and accuracy
