Job description

We are seeking individuals with experience in the CAVE (Community Anti-Violence Education) Program at Danville Correctional Center to participate in a weekly online group and contribute their knowledge and insights to support others. This role is ideal for those who are passionate about personal growth, community support, and continuing the mission of the CAVE Program.

Responsibilities:

Participate in and engage with a weekly online discussion group.
Provide mentorship, guidance, and shared experiences to support group members.
Offer feedback on facilitation of the outside regional coordinator, personal transformation, and reentry challenges.
Help foster a positive, supportive, and solution-focused environment.
Optionally assist with outreach, networking, or content development related to CHOICE program goals.

Qualifications:

Must have prior experience with the CAVE Program at Danville Correctional Center.
Comfortable participating in online discussions and contributing insights.
Strong communication skills and a willingness to support others.
Ability to commit to up to 5 hours per week, including attending the weekly group meeting.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience facilitating or leading group discussions. Need to take turns planning and executing weekly cave meetings.
Participant will be compensated $75 per hour, with the work schedule of no more than 5 hours a week
Interest in restorative justice, reentry support, or community outreach.
Basic computer skills for participating in virtual meetings.
