Finance Optimizer - tech-savvy accounting-consulting services for Law Firms

About Vineskills:

We are a fast-growing team of 40 legal-tech professionals focused on helping law firms grow with Filevine, a case management platform. In addition to consulting services that help firms adapt and optimize their processes with technology, we also built a QuickBooks Online integration, now used by hundreds of clients, with more joining every day. During our integration setup, we saw many firms that could benefit from outsourced accounting services, which led us to launch a new offering called Finance Skills. We are expanding our team to support this growth! 

Finance Skills is Vineskills' latest offering. It provides full-service accounting expertise with a deep understanding of QuickBooks and Filevine. This combination gives our clients a significant advantage in productivity, performance, and overall financial management.

NOTE: This is a US-based remote position.

What you get to do: 

• Salary range: $86,000 - $96,000
• Manage client relationships, acting as the primary point of contact for accounting and financial consulting. 
• Consult, troubleshoot, and workshop accounting processes within Quickbooks and Filevine.
• Oversee onboarding and implementation of accounting software, including Quickbooks, Bill.com & Expensify.
• Guide clients through process development, change management, and best practices for internal accounting operations.
• Support the core accounting team on client projects, including month-end close, reconciliations, and tech stack syncing issues and reconciliations between different tech systems. 
• Analyze financial data and provide strategic recommendations.
• Facilitate knowledge transfer, ensuring clients understand accounting workflows and tools effectively.
• Work cross-functionally with both internal teams and clients to optimize accounting processes.

A strong understanding of the following is preferred:

• Client-facing experience with a strong ability to manage relationships and communicate accounting concepts effectively.
• A background in accounting, with public or corporate accounting experience, is preferred.
• CPA exam passed (preferred but not required).
• Strong understanding of core accounting functions, including financial review, reconciliations, and internal controls. 
• Experience in auditing, financial reporting, and transitioning clients into new Fintech tools such as but not limited to QuickBooks, Excel, Bill.com, Expensify, Divvy, and Gusto/Justworks.
• Exceptional Excel skills and ability to analyze financial data efficiently.
