Position Overview We are seeking a motivated Digital PR Intern to join our Communications team. In this role, you'll gain hands-on experience in digital public relations, supporting our efforts to build brand awareness, create meaningful media relationships, and amplify our health and wellness content across digital platforms.
Responsibilities Assist in developing and implementing digital PR campaigns for EverydayHealth.com and sister websites Support the build out of a more robust digital PR center of excellence Monitor media coverage and compile regular reports on PR performance Help identify relevant journalists, influencers, and media outlets in the health and wellness space Support the creation of press releases, media pitches, and other PR materials Research trending health topics and identify PR opportunities Assist with social media monitoring and engagement to support PR initiatives Help coordinate interviews and media opportunities for our health experts Participate in brainstorming sessions for creative PR approaches Track and analyze campaign metrics to measure success
Qualifications Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or related field Strong interest in health, wellness, and digital media Excellent written and verbal communication skills Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities Basic understanding of digital PR principles and best practices Familiarity with social media platforms and their role in digital PR Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks Proactive approach to learning and problem-solving Familiarity with health topics and trends is a plus
