Job description

This is a remote, home-based internship. Full time students from all US geographies will be considered. Our 2025 Summer internship program is an 8-week Paid Internship that runs from June 2nd – July 25th, at 37.5 hours weekly. The program will join interns across the country who are supporting different department focuses on American Cancer Society and ACS's Cancer Action Network. 80% of the time will be in working within the given department, with the Intern's manager, their mentor, and the team. The other 20% will be with a cohort of other interns around American Cancer Society and ACS CAN.

The Intern, National Roundtables and Coalitions position will support the Data and Evaluation team in the National Roundtables and Coalitions business unit. With guidance, this position will be responsible for supporting data collection, analysis and reporting across the business unit.

The position will focus on the following areas:

  • Lung Cancer Biomarkers ECHO Evaluation: coordinate and implement a mixed methods evaluation of the ECHO initiative. The intern will analyze online survey data and lead the development of the final evaluation report.
  • Roundtable evaluation: support the National Roundtable evaluation plan by coordinating training and implementation of data collection instruments across the National Roundtables, including member surveys.
  • Additional activities will include supporting programmatic evaluation activities for the Roundtables and other NPI projects.
  • Cross-cutting activities may include manuscript / peer review presentation development, virtual ACS tour (meet and greet sessions with ACS leadership and staff working in the areas of interest for each intern), and data visualization (infographic and/or dashboard development with existing data).

Position Requirements:

  • Must be available for entirety of 8-week program: June 2 – July 25, 2025, at 37.5 hours per week.
  • Full-time student, if you are an undergraduate student, you have completed your freshman year of college.
  • Have a minimum of a B average (cumulative 3.0 on 4.0 scale);
  • Plan to continue your education in the following term/semester;
  • Upload a resume upon application submission.
  • Note: an internship assignment may coincide with your last term/trimester as a full-time student, but the internship must be disengaged upon graduation.

The rate for this position is $15/hour. The final candidate's relevant experience/skills will be considered before an offer is extended. Actual starting pay will vary based on non-discriminatory factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, experience, skills, specialty, and education.
