Business Intelligence Analyst (Houston, TX)

Support and development of MicroStrategy reporting and Data Warehouse applications.

Candidate must possess strong communication along with technical, problem solving, and time management skills.

What you’ll do:

• Custom development and maintenance of MicroStrategy environment and reporting
• Clear and effective communication with business users and technical teams through all phases of the development life cycle
• Requirements gathering from end users
• Participate in data model design and data build for the enterprise Data Warehouse
• Develop dashboards and reports per specified requirements and timelines.
• Perform UAT on software
• Assist with IT controls documentation
• Supply knowledge and training as applicable to changes
• Research and troubleshoot reported problems and conduct ongoing maintenance and development
• Provide on-call support of production applications as part of a rotation within the development team

What you bring:

• 3 years of BI Reporting experience

• Experience in ETL and Data Warehouse development

• Proficient in SQL 

• Experience with the following toolset preferred: MicroStrategy Reporting, SQL, SQL Server Administration, ETL

• MicroStrategy architecture, dashboard, and report development preferred: Architect, Desktop, and Web Professional, Performance tuning of schemas and individual reports, Configuration of Schema objects, Leveraging intelligent server, intelligent cubes, and OLAP

• Developing and deploying MicroStrategy reports and dashboards to mobile platforms -iPad, iPhone, and/or Android based devices is a plus
