The Director of Sales, Premium Targets (PT) will be responsible for leading the sales execution of PT’s business strategy for the Americas and EMEA Region, and collaborating with the VP of APAC to drive PT’s Sales in Asia. This senior leader will lead and motivate a team of Key Account and Account Managers, as well as channel partners, to deliver sustained, profitable growth, managing over $125M in Value Added Sales annually. The role involves oversight and execution through interaction with direct reports and functional teams, ensuring seamless collaboration with regional and functional leaders. The Sales Director reports directly to the VPGM Premium Targets and serves a critical role on the PT Leadership Team. This position requires working closely with various leaders to support flawless execution of the business strategy.
You will have the opportunity to:
Lead the Product Line sales and channel management teams to meet / exceed key performance metrics – including revenue and market penetration
Maintain and drive accurate monthly forecasts, budgets, and operating / short, mid and long-range plans
Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics to identify areas for improvement. Leads PTs CRM efforts
Execute on pricing strategy. Negotiate the winning solution
Own the New Business Opportunity (NBO) hopper, ensuring opportunities are tracked and progressed efficiently
Convert leads into new business opportunities and new business opportunities into new business
Help the team Develop and Maintain Key Account Plans
Contribute to the development of Materion’s next generation of products by capturing the ‘voice of customer’ and defining the competitive landscape. Directly interfaces with Product Management and T&I team to during development and qualification process
Communicates sales strategy and vision to the organization; Provides updates to senior leadership on a regular basis
Lead the creation and improvement of new and existing business processes to improve the performance of the team
Interfaces closely with the PT customer service team and the global manufacturing plants to assure production capabilities are aligned with forecasts and customer demand and customer feedback is integrated into manufacturing process. Leads customer issue resolution and guides prioritization decisions
Challenge the status quo to take Materion to the next level of performance
Team with peers in other regions and businesses to leverage best practices and tools
Identify opportunities to leverage technology to drive efficient processes and sales
Build and develop the talent pipeline; effectively manage the region’s talent and provide strong mentoring, coaching and growth opportunities to develop Materion’s future leaders
Create and sustain an engaging culture. Consistently communicating the business’s strategy, goals, accomplishments and opportunities
Interface with customers within the semiconductor industry on an ongoing basis
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
Master’s degree preferred
8- 10 years of professional sales experience, including at least 5 years in a sales management role
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
Experience in managing and developing sales teams
Experience with global account management preferred
Up to 25%- 40% travel may be required
