A day in the life.

As Compliance and Regulatory Analyst, you will be part of the team that files surplus lines taxes and performs associated activities, encompassing a high level of expertise and service.

This is a remote position with the ideal candidate being located in Georgia (Athens or Atlanta) or Alabama (Birmingham).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.

1. Utilize paperless system to facilitate surplus lines tax filings.

2. File Surplus Lines Taxes & Associated Charges in accordance with state instructions.

3. Issue Payments to taxing authorities in accordance with state instructions.

4. Work Open Company Payable - using standardized note system showing filed date / payment date and/or docs req. date.

5. Keep training manual updated.

6. Special project as assigned.

1. Considerable knowledge of company agency management system/accounts receivable system, all company computer applications

2. Strong client relation skills to build and maintain positive business relationships with clients; including excellent communication skills and service orientation, cooperative nature, and tactfulness to resolve client and company problems

3. Ability to persuade and negotiate with clients to obtain information, commitment or payments

4. Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products

5. Ability to travel, occasionally overnight

The applicable base salary range for this role is $53,400 to $99,400.

The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
