We are seeking an experienced and visionary Head of Engineering (CTO) to lead our technology strategy and drive innovation. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record in managing large, distributed teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Technology Strategy and Innovation:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive technology strategy aligned with business goals.
  • Stay abreast of emerging fintech trends and technologies to maintain competitive advantage.
  • Drive continuous improvement and innovation in technology processes and solutions.

Team Leadership and Management:

  • Lead and manage a distributed technology team of 150+ members.
  • Foster a culture of high performance, innovation, and continuous learning.
  • Implement and oversee agile methodologies to ensure efficient project delivery.

Technical Expertise:

  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the engineering team.
  • Oversee the development, deployment, and maintenance of fintech systems and infrastructure.
  • Ensure the security, scalability, and reliability of the company's technology platforms.
  • Experience managing cloud native platforms with a preference for prior experience with AWS.

Product Development:

  • Collaborate with Product Management and other cross-functional teams to drive the development of innovative fintech solutions.
  • Work closely with the Head of Product Management across the entire product lifecycle, from concept to launch.

Strategic Planning:

  • Collaborate with executive leadership to align technology initiatives with overall business objectives.
  • Manage the technology budget and resources effectively.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • 15+ years of experience in B2B technology roles, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership position.
  • Strong technical background as a former engineer/developer.
  • Proven experience managing large, distributed teams of 150+ members.
  • In-depth knowledge of agile methodologies and best practices.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong understanding of fintech technologies, including payment systems, security protocols, and regulatory compliance preferred.
  • Ability to travel 40-50% annually for in-person collaboration, customer meetings, etc.
