We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Regulatory Coordinator to support our regulatory and FSQA team in various regulatory and quality-related tasks. This role will encompass a wide range of responsibilities, including handling regulatory requests, assisting with quality complaints, and providing overall support to the team. The ideal candidate will be adaptable, organized, and capable of multitasking, with knowledge of regulatory and certification portals, and familiarity with key software tools used in document and project management.


Responsibilities:

  • Support the regulatory team with tasks related to regulatory submissions, labeling, and certification documentation. 
  • Assist with managing and responding to quality complaints, ensuring proper documentation and follow-up in coordination with the FSQA team. 
  • Stay up to date on FDA, state, and other relevant regulatory changes in the food industry, and communicate updates to the team to ensure compliance.
  • Manage and maintain data within regulatory portals such as TraceGains, FoodLogiQ, and other relevant platforms. 
  • Utilize nutrition and labeling software to review and generate compliant product labels. 
  • Coordinate with certification bodies and manage certification portals for organic, kosher, gluten-free, non-GMO, and other certifications. 
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to assist with ongoing projects, including regulatory and quality initiatives. 
  • Help manage document control, ensuring that all regulatory and quality documents are organized, up to date, and accessible through SharePoint, Microsoft 365, and other platforms. 
  • Utilize project management tools such as Smartsheet to track projects, tasks, and timelines within the FSQA team. 
  • Support the regulatory team with handling customer and certification body requests, ensuring timely responses. 
  • Adapt to changing tasks and priorities, showing flexibility and the ability to pivot as needed. 
  • Work independently while also contributing to team efforts in a dynamic, fast-moving environment.  

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Nutrition, Regulatory Affairs, or related field  
  •  Minimum of 2 years of experience in regulatory and quality compliance within the food (or similar) manufacturing industry. 
  • Knowledge of FDA and USDA regulations governing food labeling and claims.
  • Strong understanding of GFSI schemes, global food regulations and labeling standards a plus. 
  • Experience with document management systems and regulatory compliance processes.
  • Familiarity with regulatory portals (e.g., TraceGains, FoodLogiQ, Oracle) and nutrition/labeling software. 
  • Experience managing product certifications (organic, kosher, gluten-free, etc.) through certification bodies and portals. 
  • Knowledge of quality processes, including the ability to manage and track quality complaints. 
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. 
  • Proficiency in Smartsheet, SharePoint, Microsoft 365, and familiarity with Ziflow (or similar collaboration tools). 
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting. 
  • Excellent attention to detail and communication skills. 
  • A flexible and adaptable approach to work, with the ability to pivot between various tasks and projects.
