TechnologyBMO Bank N.A. seeks Senior Specialist-IC Development in Chicago, IL to drive the overall software development lifecycle, including working across functional teams to transform requirements into features. Conduct software testing and maintenance. Translate user requirements into technical specifications, write code and manage the preparation of design specifications. Supports system design, provide advice on security requirements and debug business systems and service applications. Utilize algorithms, data structures and programming languages to develop high quality technology applications and services including tools, standards, and relevant software platforms based on business requirements. Translate user needs into technical specifications by understanding, conceptualizing, and facilitating technical requirements from user. Analyze, develop, test, and implement new software programs, and documentation of entire software development life cycle execution. Perform preventative and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting and fault rectification of system and core software components. Ensure that code/configurations adhere to the security, logging, error handling, and performance standards and non-functional requirements. Evaluate new technologies for fit with the program, system, eco-system and the associated upstream and downstream impacts on process, data, and risk. Follow release management processes and standards, and apply version controls.
Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) plus seven (7) years of experience as a Software Developer or related occupation designing and developing lending and business banking product applications in the banking and financial industry. Specific skills/other requirements - Must also possess the following (quantitative experience requirements not applicable to this section unless otherwise stated): Designing, architecting, developing, coding, and implementing software components across multiple programming languages and technology areas. Servicing, originating, and fulfilling within the lending domain as part of the end-to-end lifecycle of business banking. Digitizing and automating end-to-end digital loan origination processes from application submission to disbursement. Architecting, developing, and migrating software components and infrastructure to public/private Cloud. Designing and implementing seamless omni-channel experience and self-serve capabilities to enhance overall customer experience.
