FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Posting Salary Range: $33,100 - $43,497

Office Location: Remote within North Carolina.

What We’re Looking For

Trillium Health Resources has a career opening for a Claims Processing Assistant to join our Claims team. This positions primary responsibilities include multiple claims processing duties and assisting providers by phone or email with claims processing questions. Managing multiple spreadsheets, ensuring accuracy; resolving billing/payment discrepancies, maintaining detailed records of provider communications. Claims processing assistants will communicate with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate efficient claims resolution. 

On a typical day, you might:

  • Provide training to the Provider community on the claims processing system.

 

  • Input data into the system such as claims as needed.

 

  • Analyze, research, and correct, if applicable, claims payments and denials.

 

  • Generate and analyze claims payment and exception reports to determine problems.   Analyze, research, track and correct if possible the reasons for the denials, etc.

 

  • Provide technical assistance to providers in phone calls and/or emails.  

 

  • File paperwork (claim forms, payback/adjustments from Providers etc.)

Qualifications: 

Education:
 High School Diploma or GED.

Experience: 
 One (1) year of clerical experience required OR equivalent combination of education/experience.  Requires computer related experience.

Preferred Experience:
 Experience in healthcare field and/or experience in claim processing or accounting related field preferred.   Prefer computer related experience in Microsoft Office Excel application.

License/Certification: 
 
Must have a valid driver’s license

Location:
 Remote within North Carolina. 
 Must reside in NC to be considered for remote status.
