Job description

 Who We Are

Vori Health is an award-winning, nationwide, virtual-first, musculoskeletal medical practice focused on evidence-based care that treats the whole person. Using a unique care model to help patients find the best path forward, Vori Health connects patients to a trained care team that includes a nonoperative specialty physician, a health coach navigator, and a physical therapist who manage the initial patient assessment and then work to coordinate all aspects of care. We are on a mission to empower humanity to lead a healthier life.

The Vice President of Data and Software Engineering is a senior leader responsible for leading an organization’s data and software strategy. They oversee the design, development, and operation of software systems and data platforms, ensuring they align with business goals and support innovation and scalability. This role combines technical leadership with strategic vision, managing engineering and data teams, driving digital transformation, and fostering cross-functional collaboration – partnering closely with product, operations, and other business units to deliver impactful, data-driven solutions. The VP ensures high performance, security, and reliability of technology solutions while building a culture of excellence, agility, and continuous improvement.

This position is posted as a Vice President (VP) of Engineering, but candidates will also be considered for the Senior Vice President (SVP) level, depending on experience and qualifications. Compensation will be commensurate with the candidate's experience, skill set, and the level of the role for which they are ultimately selected.

About the Role
At Vori Health, we are committed to delivering an exceptional, high-quality care experience for every patient. As the VP of Data and Software Engineering, you will play a critical leadership role in shaping the technical vision and execution across our software and data platforms. You’ll oversee high-performing engineering and data teams, driving scalable solutions that are secure, reliable, and aligned with our mission to improve patient outcomes.

This is a hands-on leadership role—you’re not just guiding from a distance but actively engaging in architecture decisions, reviewing code, shaping data models, and unblocking technical challenges alongside your team. You stay close to the work, ensuring that technical excellence, performance, and maintainability are built into everything we deliver. You Remain hands-on in the architecture, code reviews, technical design, and problem-solving—especially during critical initiatives and scaling efforts.

You bring a systems-thinking mindset and a deep passion for building elegant, resilient technology that delivers real business value. You see product, design, data, and engineering not as separate disciplines—but as interconnected forces in delivering a world-class experience. You thrive in cross-functional environments, working closely with clinical, product, and operations leaders to translate complex needs into intuitive, high-performing platforms.

You care deeply about performance, usability, and innovation, and you take pride in leading teams that continuously raise the bar. Whether optimizing architecture, driving data strategy, or championing technical excellence, you understand how strategic technology leadership propels the business forward—and you get things done.
