Job description

We are looking for a QA Automation Engineer with a creative edge, strong problem-solving skills, and a deep understanding of QA software testing concepts.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Design, plan, execute, monitor, and improve software testing procedures for the team
Author test plans and create automation that will execute those tests and will exercise all facets of the system to ensure that our applications are of the highest quality
Create and design test plans for appliances, mobile apps, networking, as well as cloud-based SaaS/web applications
Utilize knowledge of object oriented development software and web platform development software
Apply expertise in managing CI/CD with Jenkins and Selenium grid, writing tests with Selenium using Ruby, JAVA, and Cucumber
Use software system testing procedures and documents results
Create and execute unit, integration, system, load and acceptance test plans and scripts
Utilize experience writing API automation test using Rest-assured
Create test plans including end-to-end test scenarios using such tools as Postman and JMeter, GitHub, or similar source code control system
Work with developers and document identified software defects.
Telecommuting permitted from anywhere in the United States.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Information Systems, Systems Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or Electronic/Electronics Engineering and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or closely related technical role. Must have at least eight (8) months of experience in the following: TestRail; Appium; Java; regression testing; Postman API; Swagger UI; and developing test cases, plans, and frameworks.

Alternatively, employer will accept bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Information Systems, Systems Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or Electronic/Electronics Engineering and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or closely related technical role. Must have at least eight (8) months of experience in the following: TestRail; Appium; Java; regression testing; Postman API; Swagger UI; and developing test cases, plans, and frameworks.

Pay Rate: $124,904/year
