Job description

SUMMARY
This role ensures the efficiency and effectiveness of the Development team through data management, systems optimization, grants and reporting, communications, and other operational processes. This role supports the PPSE’s fundraising strategy by providing critical insights and guidance to drive donor engagement and revenue growth. This position will leverage data to evaluate funding performance, identify trends, manage individual and organizational funding opportunities, and support strategic decision-making. The role will also create individual giving reports and influence communication to support donor engagement and stewardship.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Systems Management and Fundraising Operations
● Provide accurate reports for Development staff and other department leads to support major campaigns, events, and donor outreach efforts.
● Analyze CRM queries to identify potential funding opportunities, re-engage lapsed donors, and optimize strategies for increased giving.
● Maintain calendars for annual solicitations, submissions, and reporting.
● Provide logistical and operational support for donor engagement activities.

Financial Tracking & Reporting
● Track fundraising revenue and expenses, ensuring accuracy in financial
records.
● Support budget forecasting and reporting, providing insights to leadership.
● Collaborate with the finance team to ensure proper reconciliation of donations and compliance with financial regulations.

Donor Communications
● Collaborate with the Communications team to identify opportunities for donor engagement and interactions.
● Examine proposed email calendars and provide strategic recommendations for donor communication.
● Influence digital and physical communication content and provide segmented lists for targeted appeals.
● Prepare personalized updates and reports for high-level donors

Grants Management
● Operate the PPSE’s grant database (AmpliFund) and calendar, ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and proper usage with various department users.
● Develop and implement solicitation strategies for both current and new funders, as well as build strong partnerships with funding agencies and major donors.
● Collect and organize data to ensure timely and accurate submissions and reports.
● Conduct ongoing research to identify new funding sources.

● Performs other related duties as assigned by the VP of Development

QUALIFICATIONS

Education
● Bachelor’s degree or Equivalent Experience
● A minimum of 4 years’ experience in fundraising, grant writing, and grants management, preferably within the health and/or advocacy-oriented nonprofit field.
● Familiarity working inter-departmentally (Programs, Finance, etc.) for nonprofit resource development.
● Excellent organizational, writing, and editorial skills.

Skills
● Expertise in CRM/grants systems, reporting tools, and data visualization software
● Ability to streamline workflows and improve operational efficiency
● Proficient in project management
● Excellent communication and writing skills
● Budgeting and accounting experience a plus
● Experience using Google Workspace a plus

Physical Demands
● Ability to work some evenings and weekends
● Sitting at a computer for long periods of time
● Access to Atlanta for administrative office meetings and fundraising events as needed
Languages Spoken
● English required

Starting salary at 100,000 based on experience
