The Role:

We are seeking an experienced Director of Engineering to lead our processing platform card account, payment risk and reporting teams. You will drive the evolution of our foundational account and ledger subsystem and adjacent components. You will lead teams building and operating some of the most critical services of the platform, increasing our operational excellence every step of the way. What You’ll Do:

  • Partner with engineering leadership across the entire organization to execute on large evolutionary projects underway. The teams in this group sit at the intersection of some of our most important efforts.
  • Collaborate with leadership to raise the bar on our engineering process and execution.
  • Lead and mentor teams of diverse engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
  • Establish clear goals and provide guidance to ensure the successful execution of programs and initiatives.
  • Drive the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and highly available SaaS services and data engineering pipelines.
  • Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to ensure alignment and collaboration throughout the software development process.
  • Foster strong working relationships with cross-functional teams, promoting effective communication, coordination, and knowledge sharing.
  • Collaborate with other engineering leaders, technical program managers, and stakeholders to deliver value, drive operational excellence, and ensure a highly reliable overall architecture.

What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 5+ years of proven experience in strong leadership roles, preferably within data or software engineering fields.
  • Deep expertise in designing and managing cloud-based solutions with a strong focus on data integrity and resiliency .
  • Strong understanding of agile development principles and tools.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Experience with AWS, modern python development stacks and modern data engineering tooling is a plus.
  • Experience working in a regulated industry, such as finance, is a plus.

 

Compensation and Benefits
The base pay range for this role is listed below. Final base pay offer will be determined based on individual factors such as the candidate’s experience, skills, and location.

$192,000$330,000 USD
