About the Team
Home & Discovery team is about helping the users to find content to watch on the platform. We are the owners of the collections/trays, which are shown on the home page and other pages, moreover we are the owners of the flow, how to populate those trays most appropriately for all of our users.

We're looking for backend software developers who have rich experience and a good understanding of backend development patterns, excited to design and implement features for our platform. As a software development engineer, you’ll be responsible for implementing various features and improving the stability of our application. While our reach till now has been impressive, we are looking for technical & product-aware engineer, who will define the future architecture of our platform, providing technical and product expertise, mentor and guide other developers. The position initiates with a fixed term contract for a period of three months, which upon completion, becomes an indefinite contract that requires a notice period of one month.

Your Key Responsibilities

• You will build robust, secure and scalable micro-services to power the applications
• You will be responsible to implement RESTful services with a metric-driven API Gateway
• You will take ownership to build scalable, reliable and performant code that complies with our internal code guidelines
• You will influence how we build individual features and products, and bring in best practices and patterns that can be used for engineering lifecycle
• You will quickly troubleshoot production issues and come up with an appropriate RCA

What you bring

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science
• 3-5 years of experience building production software systems
• Expertise with JAVA programming language and ecosystem
• Expertise with GoLang programming language
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools Git
• Experience in developing and deploying cloud based microservices - in-depth and working knowledge with AWS services, like S3, Glacier, EFS, Lambda, EC2, IAM, Terraform, Vault; Networking, docker, K8s, GoCD pipelines, Prometheus, Grafana monitoring
• Logical thinker attitude with strong problem solving and analytical ability to apply your mathematical, algorithmic and other expertise to solve real problems
• Highly enthusiasm and enjoy learning new technologies and frameworks
• Expertise in customer-facing application development in a high-scale environment
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written (English)
