HF Sinclair is seeking a Senior Endpoint Systems Engineer anywhere in the US or preferably in Dallas, TX as we are on a journey to modernize our endpoint management strategy, transitioning from traditional on-premises solutions to cloud-based solutions. As a Senior Endpoint Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in leading this transformation by architecting, implementing, and optimizing cloud-first endpoint management solutions.
In this role, you will drive the migration of all mobile devices and laptops to Intune, enabling software deployment, policy enforcement, and update management - all from the cloud. Additionally, experience with Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) or Windows 365 would be highly beneficial as we explore virtual desktop solutions to enhance our digital workplace.
Job Duties
- Drive the transition from on-prem to a fully cloud-based endpoint management strategy, focusing on moving towards an Azure AD-only client.
- Lead the migration of laptops and mobile devices to Microsoft Intune, ensuring seamless software deployment, security policies, and OS updates.
- Develop and enforce BYOD policies within Intune, balancing secure corporate access with user flexibility and compliance.
- Optimize endpoint security by implementing Conditional Access (CA), Windows Hello for Business, and Zero Trust principles.
- Leverage automation tools such as PowerShell and Microsoft Graph API to enhance device provisioning, patching, and software deployment.
- Provide technical leadership by mentoring teams, driving innovation, and ensuring adherence to best practices in endpoint management.
- Evaluate, design, and support cloud VDI solutions as needed.
- Troubleshoot and resolve endpoint issues in collaboration with site IT infrastructure teams, managing incident tickets across multiple locations.
- Develop and maintain enterprise-wide Windows Group Policies for efficient device configuration and management.
- Enhance application and image deployment by contributing to project plans and recommending process improvements.
- Act as Tier 3 support for complex endpoint administration issues, including escalated troubleshooting and project implementation.
- Secure company endpoints with antivirus solutions, intrusion detection, and device encryption technologies.
- Monitor and optimize endpoint performance to ensure a seamless user experience across desktops, laptops, tablets, and virtual endpoints.
- Champion automation to reduce manual intervention in software and hardware deployment processes.
- Collaborate with IT leadership, security, and end-user computing teams to align endpoint strategy with business goals.
- Engage with vendors and industry partners to adopt best practices and enhance endpoint management solutions.
- Define technical strategy and expectations for endpoint security and management, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
- Set performance expectations for the team, providing guidance, feedback, and support to drive successful project execution.
- Take on additional assignments as needed, based on business priorities and leadership direction.
Experience
A minimum of eight years of experience with endpoint engineering in a multi-site, enterprise environment is required.
Prior experience leading cloud migrations from on-premise to Intune and working toward an Azure AD-only client environment. Background in designing and implementing policies within Intune while ensuring security and compliance. Strong knowledge of security best practices, endpoint protection, and enterprise-wide access management. Experience integrating and optimizing endpoint strategies within broader IT initiatives, including collaboration with security, networking, and infrastructure teams. Proven ability to mentor technical staff and lead complex problem-solving efforts. Familiarity with IT service management frameworks and methodologies, such as ITIL. Demonstrated success in improving end-user experiences while maintaining security and compliance. A commitment to continuous learning, knowledge sharing, and staying up to date with emerging endpoint technologies.
Education Level
A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in MIS or Computer Science, or equivalent years of experience in lieu of a degree, is required.
Required Skills
Extensive experience in endpoint management with deep expertise in Microsoft Intune, and cloud-first device management. Strong understanding of Azure AD, Conditional Access, and Zero Trust security models. Proficiency in PowerShell scripting, Microsoft Graph API, and automation tools to streamline device provisioning, policy enforcement, and software deployment. Expertise in designing, managing, and optimizing Group Policy Objects (GPOs) for enterprise-wide configuration and security. Strong troubleshooting skills related to endpoint performance, security, and software deployment. Ability to lead technical teams, set strategic direction, and drive transformation initiatives. Experience in creating technical documentation and training materials. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly in translating technical concepts for both technical and non-technical audiences. Strong organizational skills with experience in project planning, time management, and prioritization. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.

Salary Range: The salary range includes the minimum, midpoint, and maximum base salary values. A candidate's offer can vary depending on differentiating factors, including but not limited to education, training, or experience.
This position has a salary minimum of $115,300, midpoint of $158,000, and maximum of $200,700.
