CTO

This is a remote position.

Our client, a burgeoning SaaS solutions provider, is seeking an experienced, hands-on Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead their technical vision and drive the development of our client's platform. As their technical leader, you will be responsible for architecting scalable solutions, making critical technology decisions, and ensuring their infrastructure supports rapid growth while maintaining performance and security.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of our client's SaaS platform with a focus on scalability, performance, and security
  

• Take full technical responsibility for all solutions used in the product and their consequences
  

• Make hands-on contributions to code and infrastructure development while setting technical standards
  

• Implement and optimize cloud infrastructure using GCP services, with particular focus on GKE, auto-scaling, and serverless architectures
  

• Ensure the platform architecture supports both horizontal and vertical scaling to accommodate growth
  

• Develop and implement security protocols and regulatory compliance measures (GDPR, etc.)
  

• Build and lead high-performing engineering teams, including potential offshore resources
  

• Collaborate with other executives to align technology strategy with business goals and product roadmap
  

• Balance short-term technical needs with long-term architecture vision
  

• Manage development priorities and plans, considering technical dependencies and business requirements
  

• Monitor technology trends and evaluate emerging technologies to maintain competitive advantage
  

Requirements

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in SaaS, cloud platforms, or related technical leadership roles
  

• Extensive hands-on experience with GCP services and architecture patterns
  

• Strong programming skills in languages relevant to cloud development (Python, Java, Go, Node.js)
  

• Demonstrated expertise in containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes/GKE)
  

• Experience designing and implementing microservices architectures
  

• Strong knowledge of security best practices, data protection, and compliance requirements
  

• Proven track record of scaling SaaS applications and infrastructure to support business growth
  

• Experience leading and mentoring technical teams
  

• Excellent decision-making skills and ability to balance technical trade-offs
  

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
