Position Overview

The IDL (Identity and Licensing) Org at Autodesk is responsible for the critical infrastructure that enables our products to run seamlessly. We are seeking a talented and highly motivated Senior Community Advocate to join our Partner and Platform Success team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in discovering and developing efficient, scalable, and thoughtful solutions to technical and product challenges, while also supporting and advocating for developers and partners.

Responsibilities

Partner & Platform Success:

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with developers and partners to ensure their needs are met and their feedback is heard. By providing advanced technical support and guidance, you will help them integrate and utilize our platform effectively

  • Lead efforts to advocate for the adoption of REST & Graph APIs within the Access capability. Understand and create partner integration capabilities and advocate integration journey maps. You will help grow our platform by ensuring success for all our partners, including Autodesk App teams and customers. Acting as the liaison between the developer community and internal teams, you will collect and relay feedback, pain points, and needs to drive strategic improvements in our platform. Collaborate with technical teams to create and ensure quality assurance of comprehensive documentation, guides, and code samples, ensuring high-quality technical integrations and providing resources that address complex developer challenges

Community Platform Management:

  • Extend your advocacy to moderating and contributing within community platforms to encourage discussions, Q&A, and collaboration among developers

  • Conduct knowledge-sharing sessions, such as Chalkboard Learning Series, to educate consumers about existing and newer features. Additionally, assist in debugging and providing resolutions to developer queries using advanced monitoring, alerting, logging, and troubleshooting tools.

Program Management:

  • Define and implement advanced technical integration strategies through documentation, promotion, collaboration, and engagement. Ensure that clear policies, use cases, and integration patterns are part of project planning to guide developers toward successful integrations

  • Work closely with senior engineers, architects, and product owners to communicate the needs and requirements of integrating products and developers. Participate in integration reviews, identify anomalies, and articulate solutions to ensure the robustness of existing integrations

Technical Advocacy:

  • Serve as the technical voice of the developer community within Autodesk. Actively participate in technical discussions, providing insights and feedback to influence the development of our platform

  • Develop and share advanced technical content such as blog posts, tutorials, videos, and documentation to help developers understand and utilize our platform effectively

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

  • Experience in engaging and supporting developer communities

  • Familiarity with web services, including REST APIs and Graph

  • Commitment to quality, including security and performance

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills

  • Requires deep subject-matter knowledge and sound business acumen to advise leaders

  • Translate specialized subject-matter requirements into business needs/requirements

  • Interpret internal/external business issues and recommend best practices to address them

  • Solve complex problems that require in-depth evaluation of variable factors by taking a broad perspective to identify the best approach and innovative solutions

  • Work independently, with close guidance in only the most complex or unusual situations

  • Adapt communication style to persuade various stakeholders across the business and frequently interact with senior leaders to provide advice and SME

  • May lead functional teams or programs within own function or closely related functions

  • Independently identifies and integrates relevant components in complex issues.

  • Networks with key contacts outside own area of expertise and participates in problem-solving through deeper analysis.

  • Able to unwind complex or dead-end support requests, understand integrator code, and digest customer logs for issue resolution.

  • Strong community engagement skills, with the ability to foster collaboration and knowledge-sharing among developers.

Salary transparency

Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $118,200 and $191,290. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, we also have a significant emphasis on annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
