ABOUT THE TEAM

The Business Analytics team sits within Mural’s Centralized Operations team, which also includes Information Technology, Program Operations (PMO), and Business Operations and Strategy. Composed of skilled Data Analysts and Business Intelligence Analysts, the team works collaboratively with stakeholders from various departments to convert data into actionable insights that align with company goals and drive business growth. The team plays a pivotal role in furnishing Mural with crucial Business Health Reporting and metrics to measure our success.

YOUR MISSION

You will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the company’s data strategy with a focus on product performance, user experience, and driving product-led growth (PLG). This role combines product analytics expertise, data fluency, and strategic insight to measure, analyze, and provide actionable recommendations for product and growth teams. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to create self-service reporting solutions, optimize product usage, and contribute to improving business performance through data-driven insights.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
  •  Leverage Analytics Tools: Use analytics tools to gather and analyze data, providing comprehensive insights into product usage, user behavior, and the effectiveness of product-led growth strategies.

  • Collaborate on Product-Led Growth (PLG) Strategies: Partner with product, marketing, and engineering teams to optimize the product experience and identify key drivers of PLG. Analyze product usage patterns and connect insights to strategies that support user acquisition, activation, retention, and expansion.

  • Create Dashboards and Reports: Collaborate with data engineering to create and maintain dashboards in Tableau or other visualization tools, providing key performance indicators (KPIs) that reflect product performance, user growth, and PLG success.

  • Own Product Insights: Lead analysis to provide deep insights into customer journeys, product engagement, and retention, driving PLG initiatives that influence product development and business growth.

  • Support Cross-Functional Teams: Deliver data support to product, marketing, sales, and customer success teams, contributing to product roadmaps, strategic initiatives, and optimizing product experience for PLG.

  • Lead Analytics Initiatives: Lead long-term product analytics initiatives focused on driving product growth. Work cross-functionally to ensure product data is leveraged to drive decisions, innovation, and operational improvement.

  • Share Insights with Leadership: Present findings, insights, and actionable recommendations to senior leadership, supporting strategic planning and decision-making for product and PLG initiatives.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING
  •  5+ years of Product Analytics Experience: Proven experience in product analytics, user behavior analysis, and driving PLG strategies. Strong understanding of how data can support product-led growth models.

  • Expertise in Product Analytics Tools: Hands-on experience with digital analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Amplitude, Mixpanel, Pendo, Gainsight PX) and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker) to provide clear and actionable insights.

  • Proficiency in SQL: Strong SQL skills to query and manipulate data, with experience in integrating multiple data sources to support complex analyses.

  • Understanding of PLG and Product Development: Experience working with product teams to inform product decisions through data-driven insights that drive user growth and product-led growth strategies.

  • Exceptional Communication Skills: Proven ability to simplify complex product data and insights, and communicate effectively with leadership and cross-functional teams.

  • Problem-Solving and Project Ownership: Capable of independently managing complex projects, prioritizing multiple initiatives, and navigating ambiguity in a fast-paced environment.

The base salary for this role ranges from $150,000 - $170,000 + bonus + benefits. Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
