Description

The Senior Associate Director (SAD), Stakeholder Relations will serve as a functional lead and primary point of contact for US headquarters based (BIPI) top customer engagement interactions with Early Asset (EA) and Asset team key external experts (KEE) and Professional Medical Associations (PMA). As an internal lead for coordinating EA & Asset team cross-functional collaborations with prioritized asset-level KEEs, the incumbent will work with internal and customer facing teams to create innovative strategies, programs, and tactics that support the company's EA & Asset strategic objectives, as well as therapeutic area aligned medical goals. The incumbent must understand and be able to interact at a high level with a broad and diverse ecosystem of KEEs and PMAs on therapeutic area, asset-based strategies within a given disease/ franchise.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Engagement and Strategic Planning:

    * Serves as a TA primary point of contact to identify, build and maintain collaborative, mutually beneficial
    relationships with prioritized EA & Asset KEEs and PMAs

    * Lead EA & Asset ecosystem KEE engagement planning and execution, driving prioritized activities and initiatives in alignment with overall medical and business unit strategic objectives

    * Leverages cross-functional partnerships and novel technology solutions to efficiently and effectively identify and engage top EA & Asset ecosystem KEEs and PMAs

  • Therapeutic Area and Asset Team Focus:

    * Drives cross-functional metrics tracking to ensure accountability and transparency of strategic engagement plans in CRM database, per direction of EA, Asset or TA Leads and/or Director, Medical Engagement

    * Establish continuous improvement and best practice mindset regarding measurement strategies, CRM tools, dashboards, and customer feedback techniques. 

    * Advises key internal partners on strategic intelligence, insights and trends related to KEE engagements in order to impact and inform overall Asset Team objectives

  • Administration:

    * Adheres to appropriate budgets and monitors expenditures, revising spending as needed. 
    * Inputs data into departmental financial tracking system as required.
    * Centrally and compliantly maintains records and plans for TA strategic engagement in designated CRM databases per direction of Medical Engagement Leadership
    * Plans and execute responsibilities as assigned by the
    director and/or the director’s designee.
    Ensures all administrative, training, and compliance requirements are effectively met.

Requirements

Associate Director Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution required, with a minimum of five (5) years in the pharmaceutical, biotech, device or diagnostic industry.
  • Advanced degree from an accredited institution preferred, with a minimum of three (3) years of relevant industry/work experience.
  • Two (2) years of experience in advocacy or professional relations or equivalent is strongly preferred.

Sr. Associate Director Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, with a minimum of 10 years in the pharmaceutical, biotech, device or diagnostic industry
  • Advanced degree preferred, with an advanced degree, a minimum of 5 years of relevant industry/work experience is required.
  • 4 years in advocacy or professional relations or equivalent is strongly preferred.

Additional Requirements:

  • Expert knowledge is required in Opinion Leader or Stakeholder Relations experience and/or working knowledge in the following areas: medical affairs, R&D, patient advocacy, professional relations, public relations, government relations, marketing, and philanthropy
  • Deep understanding of cross functional TA, franchise, and brand strategy/business and scientific objectives 
  • Working knowledge in one or more of the Primary Care and Specialty Pharm disease states 
  • Ability to influence cross-functional teams and leadership stakeholders toward a shared vision of success
  • Well-developed competency in project management, fast and focused execution, budget management
  • Leading customer facing acumen and skills
  • Willing and able to travel domestically and internationally (30% travel required)
  • Knowledge of Customer Relations Management Software preferred, Proficiency in Power Point, Microsoft Excel and Word software required
  • Preferred Special Skills Knowledge of Customer Relations Management Software Proficiency in Power Point, Microsoft Excel and Word software
  • Ability to travel to meetings/trainings/programs as necessary; 30% travel (domestic and international) required
Compensation

This position offers a base salary typically between $170,000 and $269,000.  The position may be eligible for a role specific variable or performance-based bonus and or other compensation elements.  For an overview of our benefits please click here.
