Role Overview
 
As an Infrastructure Engineer, you will play a key role on our technical operations team by supporting and enhancing Peerspace’s cloud infrastructure. You’ll work primarily in GCP using Kubernetes/GKE and assist in managing high-scale edge computing solutions with CDNs to deliver the Peerspace platform to web and mobile users around the world. Your hands-on work with Terraform, knowledge of building high-availability systems, and application of security best practices will ensure our production environments are reliable, scalable, and secure. Working alongside engineers across the company, you’ll gain exposure to modern cloud operations while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
 
Qualifications:
 
You are a great fit for this role if you have:
 
       Experience: 3-5 years in infrastructure or cloud engineering, with practical experience in managing cloud environments.
       Technical Skills:
       Proficiency in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and container orchestration using Kubernetes/GKE.
       Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools, particularly Terraform.
       Familiarity with high-scale edge computing environments using CDNs and designing high-availability systems.
       Basic understanding of security best practices in cloud infrastructure.
       Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills to diagnose issues, optimize systems, and contribute to performance improvements.
       Collaboration: Ability to work closely with cross-functional teams, communicating clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
       Growth Mindset: A proactive attitude towards learning new technologies and practices to further enhance our infrastructure.
 
Responsibilities:
 
In this role, you will be responsible for:
 
       Cloud Infrastructure Management: Assisting in the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of cloud resources on GCP, with a focus on Kubernetes/GKE environments.
       Infrastructure-as-Code: Utilizing Terraform to automate infrastructure provisioning and ensure consistent, zero-downtime deployments.
       Edge Computing & High Availability: Supporting the implementation and optimization of edge computing strategies, including managing CDN configurations and designing high-availability systems for global audiences.
       Security Best Practices: Applying and advocating for security best practices across our cloud infrastructure to safeguard production systems.
       Monitoring & Optimization: Collaborating with team members to monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and drive continuous improvement in our infrastructure.
       Collaboration & Learning: Working closely with senior engineers and other teams to integrate new technologies, share knowledge, and adopt modern infrastructure practices.

The annual salary range for this role is $145,000 to $160,000. The actual salary will vary depending on experience, skills, and abilities as well as internal equity and market data.
