GENERAL FUNCTION:
Coordination of reporting and analysis of the Bancorp's risk profile for commercial, consumer and residential credit. Elements of market risk and operation risk reporting exist as well. Act as a partner to lines of business for credit risk analysis, monitoring and risk/return evaluations.
Manage team or analysts responsible for development, preparation, and submission of Bancorp risk reporting materials, risk controls, and central loss processes for Consumer product lines (Auto, Mortgage, Retail Equity, Credit Card). Responsible and accountable for risk by openly exchanging ideas and opinions, elevating concerns, and personally following policies and procedures as defined. Accountable for always doing the right thing for customers and colleagues and ensures that actions and behaviors drive a positive customer experience. While operating within the Bank's risk appetite, achieves results by consistently identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks of all types.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prepare, review, and distribute credit risk reports to executive management and board level committees. Include insightful commentary, as appropriate, targeted to those audiences.
Distribute weekly and monthly risk management reports including trend analysis, portfolio management and rating migration reports.
Conduct root cause analysis to identify issues in processes, prevent and establish proper controls to ensure automation and accuracy of deliverables.
Perform analyses of credit risk in all portfolios providing insight into historical risk trends, projected levels of risk and performance using various methods including standard industry analyses.
Monthly/quarterly SAS based production processes run in a meticulous fashion with established controls in place to identify changes in data quality within segments.
Run accurate reporting reconciling to General Ledger and external reporting classifications.
Present reporting results to management to facilitate increasing shareholder value.
Provide input and support to ensure data quality in Enterprise Data Warehouse.
Catalog and identify existing reports presented to the board and identify key risk indicators for meaningful aggregate level reporting. Include qualitative assessment / analysis of portfolio changes.
Document, evaluate, and improve the design of reports in existence.
Improve access to and quality of data used.
Incorporate external macro-economic variables into reporting and analysis.
Interact with LOBs to help provide additional reporting and insight as needed.
Assume additional responsibilities as required to fulfill departmental goals.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supervise and oversee work assignments for lead and associate-level Reporting Analysts who are reporting and analyzing credit risk characteristics of the business line portfolios. Develop staff through challenging assignments that stretch skill levels, pique intellectual curiosity, and provide leadership visibility as appropriate. Provide regular feedback on performance levels and work quality. Ensure employee participation in relevant training opportunities.
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Business Administration, Accounting, Statistics, Economics, or Finance undergraduate degree.
Minimum of 5+ years of related work experience.
Computer Skills - Microsoft office products with strong Excel and Access skills. Demonstrated ability to learn and understand various applications and business intelligence/database tools: SAS Enterprise Guide. SQL programming/Snowflake/Power BI dashboard experience is a plus.
System reporting experience required.
Excellent analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
Proficient with various in-house transaction systems.
Ability to prepare and lead presentations to key stakeholders.
Execution-oriented; with ability to quickly organize work and execute with speed
Able to manage multiple threads of work and balance/decision competing priorities
