Job description

The Travel Coordinator coordinates corporate travel required in a locum tenens assignment including air, hotel and car arrangements.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Works with both internal and external customers to book travel, housing, and local transportation.
Demonstrates strict attention to detail.
Exercises excellent time management to ensure bookings are completed timely.
Negotiates with travel partners and travelers.
Works with moderate supervision.
Develops and maintains excellent communications and works effectively with clients/physicians, colleagues and others during the performance of assigned responsibilities.
Prioritize work using the VISTA application, and maintain complete, accurate records of all activities.
Research best travel options that meet both client budget and provider needs.
Creates correspondence with good spelling and punctuation.
Makes and takes calls with providers, clients and travel partners.
Keeps computer files current and accurate.
Books travel in travel software. (Sabre GDS or Concur Travel).
Project desired company image and demeanor and support the company’s mission.
Participates in on-call rotation to address after hour travel emergencies.
Other duties and special projects as may be assigned.

REQUIREMENTS AND EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
A minimum of 2 years of experience in customer service preferred.
Some post high school education with emphasis in business communications, or equivalent.
At least two years corporate travel experience with strong GDS skills: Sabre preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

Ability to use sensory skills to effectively communicate and interact with other employees and the public through use of the telephone, email, video conference and face to face contact
Ability to use manual dexterity, visual acuity and hearing acuity to effectively use and operate office related equipment such as but not limited to a computer, copier, scanner, camera, phone, headset, keyboard and mouse
Ability to sit for extended periods of time at a keyboard and workstation with low periods of reaching and standing
Ability to lift up to 15 pounds at times

Compensation Range

$18.27 - $22.40
