Sydney Local Health District (SLHD) is seeking experienced Staff Specialists to join RPA Virtual Hospital.

We are looking for a Staff Specialist in Virtual Care! RPA Virtual Hospital is Australia’s first Virtual Hospital and provides a personalised service for people in the community – a new way of caring. The rpavirtual Care Centre is able to connect with patients and their carers 24 hours a day, seven days a week, by utilising technology to build on the legacy of expert staff, providing excellent patient and family centred care in the community.

The primary purpose of the role of the Staff Specialist in the Virtual Care Centre is to provide high-quality clinical care and to work with the Clinical Director with the planning, development, implementation and delivery of the broad range of innovative virtual models of care across the clinical spectrum and healthcare system.

The Staff Specialist will ensure a high standard of professional performance and encouragement of an academic environment which supports education, research and professional development.

The successful applicant will be registered, or eligible for registration, with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), and Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners or the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine or Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine and/or other equivalent specialist recognition as provided for in the NSW Staff Specialist (State) Award.

Salary and conditions are in accordance with the NSW Staff Specialist (State) Award.
