Research Analyst Senior

HOW A RESEARCH ANALYST SENIOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
● Performs research, analysis, development, and evaluation of systems, procedures, and data in assigned functional area

● Supports data analysis, technical assistance, and assistance with Medicare/Medicaid data study protocols.

● Applies knowledge of standard software and quantitative and/or qualitative analysis techniques and methods.
● Work effectively and cooperatively as a member of a project team

● Contribute knowledge and understanding of Medicare/Medicaid data using varied data sets, analyzing health service use or spending, quality of care, and health outcomes; use of Fee-for-Service claims data, Medicare Advantage (MA) encounter data, and related data products.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
● Education: Bachelor of Science in health policy, public health, healthcare management, epidemiology, or related program. Master's degree preferred.
● Required Experience: 5+ years of related experience in Medicare and/or Medicaid data analysis and health services research using varied Medicare/Medicaid data sets, analyzing health service use or spending, quality of care, and/or health outcomes; use of Fee-for-Service claims data, Medicare Advantage (MA) encounter data, and/or related data products.
● Required Technical Skills: Programming and analysis experience in at least one data analytics software package (e.g., SAS, Python, Java or R). Strong computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, Teams and Adobe Acrobat.
● Security Clearance Level: Public trust (can be obtained upon hire)
● Required Skills and Abilities: Experience with Medicare/Medicare research protocols and data products
● Preferred Skills: Support of Medicare/Medicaid research projects, data specifications, data documentation, and collaborative support

The likely salary range for this position is $94,676 - $128,092. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
