We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Senior Product Designer with a specialization in motion design to join our dynamic team at Questrade. To shape the new generation of digital design in Questrade, we would look for talents to shape a more dynamic, motion-driven experience. You will bring interactions to life through thoughtful motion, ensuring our platforms are not only functional, but also delightful and user-friendly.

• Develop effective UX by designing with excellent typography, layout, illustration, and 3D elements.
• Conceptualize, design, and prototype sophisticated motion graphics and animations that enhance user experience and brand identity within the financial context.
• Collaborate with engineers to implement and refine motion design, ensuring smooth and performant animations within our investment platforms.
• Oversee the process of creating video and animation from storyboards to final assets
• Lead design workshops and brainstorming sessions to generate innovative ideas and solutions for our investment platforms.
• Conduct user research and usability testing to validate design decisions and identify areas for improvement, with a focus on how users interact with financial tools.
• Collaborate with the design system team to ensure motion is consistent and effectively integrated.
• Assist in creating guidelines so there is a level of consistency on how large to small components are used. To motion usage within illustrations.

• Deep understanding of motion design principles and best practices, with an ability to apply them to financial products.
• 5+ years of experience in product design, with a strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in motion design and UI design.
• Proficiency in design and prototyping tools, Figma and Adobe Creative Suite, with solid experience in short form animation.
• Experience working with design systems.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest motion design trends and technologies, and advocate for their integration into our products, with a focus on how motion can improve the understanding of financial information.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.Experience with responsive design, and accessibility guidelines, including those related to financial accessibility.
• A portfolio that showcases your motion work, ideally showing examples of complex information being displayed in an understandable way.
• A strong understanding of the importance of security and trust in financial applications.
