Job Title: Remote Accountant (100% Work From Home)


Location: Remote from Latin America


Position Type: Full-time


Salary: $2,000 USD/month + PTO based on tenure


Schedule: Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week during business hours Eastern Time



Job Overview:

Our client needs a detail-oriented and experienced accountant who thrives in reconciling complex accounts and identifying process inefficiencies. This role requires someone who can dive deep into every balance sheet account, track intercompany transactions, and work cross-functionally to understand and improve the processes that impact financial reporting.


Responsibilities:

  • Balance Sheet Reconciliation:
  • Conduct a thorough review and reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts.
  • Investigate discrepancies and propose adjusting entries where necessary.
  • Ensure accurate classification of transactions and proper documentation.
  • Intercompany Account Management:
  • Reconcile all intercompany transactions across multiple entities.
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies between entities.
  • Work with finance teams to establish clear intercompany processes.
  • Process Improvement & Controls:
  • Analyze the workflows that lead to balance sheet postings and recommend improvements.
  • Work closely with operations, FP&A, and other departments to align financial data with business activities.
  • Implement best practices for month-end close and reconciliation processes.
  • Month-End & Year-End Close:
  • Assist in closing the books on time with reconciled and accurate accounts.
  • Support audit preparations and provide documentation as needed.

Qualifications, Skills and Key Competencies:

  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in accounting, with a strong focus on balance sheet reconciliations and inter-company transactions.
  • CPA designation (or equivalent)
  • Proficiency in accounting systems (e.g., Sage).
  • Experience in financial process improvement and internal controls.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to trace transactions back to their source.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
