Sr. SCADA Engineer

Seeking a SCADA Engineer to support renewable energy projects by managing SCADA systems, vendor coordination, commissioning, and troubleshooting. This remote role requires occasional travel (up to 20%) to project sites and vendor locations.

1. SCADA Specification & Procurement: Review client SCADA technical specifications, provide feedback, and solicit proposals from vendors and subcontractors.
2. Vendor & Project Coordination: Work with Substation, BESS, and O&M vendors to streamline SCADA communication and review technical drawings from third-party SCADA suppliers and Engineers of Record (EORs).
3. Commissioning & Performance Support: Assist construction teams during SCADA commissioning and support plant performance testing efforts.
4. Troubleshooting & Operations Support: Help Operations and O&M teams diagnose SCADA-related issues for active and warranty-stage sites.
5. Training & Compliance: Attend SCADA training sessions, ensure compliance with industry standards (NERC, FERC, IEC61850, IEEE), and support interconnection agreements.

1. Degree: Bachelor's in Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics, Computer Science, or Data Analytics Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
2. Industry Experience: 2-5 years in SCADA engineering, preferably in renewable energy.
3. Software Proficiency: Experience with Microsoft Teams, AutoDesk Construction Cloud (Client), AutoDesk, and MS Visio for SCADA Single Line Diagrams.
4. Technical Skills: Knowledge of SCADA communication protocols (TCP/IP, Modbus, IEC61850), HMI troubleshooting, and compliance with utility regulations.
5. Soft Skills: Strong communication, organization, and multitasking abilities, with a proactive approach in fast-paced environments.
