        Lead and actively manage a team of professionals with a focus on development and employee engagement.

        Set clear direction and expectations; assign relevant goals and objectives; distribute workload evenly.

        Actively manage the team – stay connected to work; conduct frequent development and career discussions; ensure professional growth plans are established and executed.

        Develop and grow team by leveraging strengths, identifying gaps, and providing timely, consistent feedback and coaching.

        Manage portfolio across major spend categories with keen focus on cost savings and risk mitigation.

        Establish and lead overarching strategy for procurement category that meets the needs of the business and drives savings.

        Develop, refine, and manage strategic and tactical policies and procedures.

        Anticipate needs of the business; continuously assesses opportunities for process improvements; translate into innovative solutions.

        Manage portfolio across a balanced scorecard – i.e., savings, operational excellence, solution usage, supplier diversity, third party risk management.

        Keep abreast of industry best-practices; recommend/implement as appropriate.

        Team understands strategy and direction of assigned category; decisions are made in support of established priorities.

        Optimal results are realized.

        Risk to the business and to Key is minimal.

        Develop strategic and collaborative relationships.

        Collaborate with line of business partners (LOB) to develop strategic partnerships.

        Understand strategic priorities and objectives of LOB and client group/s.

        Visible and active partner; attends client meeting; is available to senior/executive clients as needed.

        Promote “Procurement Brand” across Key.

        Oversee vendor management strategy for assigned category, ensuring strong vendor performance and adherence to risk policies and procedures

• Category manager is viewed by LOB and Key leadership as knowledgeable and valued partner.

        Procurement team is viewed as asset to organization.

        Vendor relationships remain strong; risk to Key is minimized.

        Drive cross-functional relationships within Procurement; coordinate activities across teams including Legal, TPRM, Solutions, etc.

        Lead by example; be an accessible and reliable resource and coach across entire Procurement team.

        Sense of “one team” flourishes; interactions are smooth.

        Team feels connected and engaged; performance/morale increase.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

        Bachelor’s Degree; 10 years minimum of relevant, professional experience

        Ability to collaborate with and influence the most senior leaders in the organization.

        Possess level of professional savvy to influence others and drive change, executive presence.

        Demonstrated leadership; viewed as valuable resource within and outside Corporate Procurement.

        Advanced communication skills – written, oral, presentation; ability to coach others to enhance communication skills.

        Demonstrated ability to act as strategic advisor and identify holistic business solutions regarding procurement and spend.

        Proven ability to develop and implement strategies to improve/maintain cost effective delivery.

        Ability to lead, actively manage and professionally develop a multi-level team of professionals.

        Ability to proactively support clients based on in-depth understanding of their business and industry best-practices.

        Possess expert technical knowledge in assigned support area, advanced business acumen.

        Knowledge of banking industry.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

        MBA Preferred.

        Experience managing others.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $110,000 to $120,000 annually depending on location and job-related factors such as level of experience. Compensation for this role also includes eligibility for short-term incentive compensation and deferred incentive compensation subject to individual and company performance.
